About
The Back 40 Boutique first originated as "Touch of Glass Etching" 18
years ago as a hobby. I began etching glass out of curiosity, which I
quickly learned to love and develop into a desirable service. My
first custom orders were gun cabinet & china hutch doors for a
local furniture builder. I continued to expand my product line to
include hand etched wine goblets, cake plates, personalized Christmas
ornaments and mirrors.
My love for hand crafted work of artistic creativity has expanded the
Back 40 Boutique to another passion of mine (and my husband's) ...SWEETS!
I began to explore my creativity with recipes and decorative design
techniques after my husband and I made our own wedding cake and floral
arrangements almost 2 years ago, due to the lack of a local bakery &
floral designer near our wedding location. My goal as a glass &
floral designer and confection artist is to combine unique, one of a
kind beauty with mouth watering pleasure that people will remember and
enjoy with sweet gratification. Just imagine how lovely it would be
to give someone special, a hand etched glass cookie platter adorned
with rich & creamy fudge, fudge dipped espresso cookies and
lemon-raspberry filled cupcakes ... or how about a hand etched wine
goblet filled with decadent amaretto truffles ? ... just a tempting idea!
